Ok. First off. The most important lesson I've learned from my first week as a missionary is this: Peace is more important than being right.
I've had so many times when I wanted to argue or disagree with somebody and jst was struck with the stupidity in choosing to chase the spirit away just for the point of making sure somebody knows that you are more right than they are---WHO CARES? in the end it really doesn't matter and having the spirit with you is more important.
Online MTC has actually been incredible. I wouldn't call it "class" ; It's more like being a Jesus-focused-phone-call with your best friends all day. We joke and laugh a lot and Everybody takes care of everybody. It's beautiful.
I miss sleeping in and I miss music. That's tougher than I was expecting lol. but it's all good.
On Thursday I was able to go to the Jordan River Temple and I met up with my companion- most people don't get to meet their companion IN PERSON until they go to the MTC- so I'm, like, super lucky. It was a beautiful session and helped me to focus and diminish my stress and worries.
Afterwards we went to Beto's, a wonderful Mexican restaurant in west Jordan, and they gave us free chips and free drink cups. I think it was because they saw our tags.
It's been amazing! I love it! I will go to the Provo MTC TOMORROW. THIS IS IT!!
I know that God loves me and I've seen many blessings as I've chosen to let go of my past life and accept this new one. I know that this is the best choice I can make and that San Jose is the most important place for me to be. I know that God hears our prayers and provides answers.
I love you guys!
